Tarallini is a very popular and delicious Italian snack from the Puglia region. It’s my family’s go-to starter when we have guests: add them to your cheese platter along with small cubes of cheese, olives and sliced salami.
Made with a few ingredients, they are traditionally flavored with fennel seeds. While I prefer the plain version, you can customize tarallini with any of your favorite herbs, seeds or spices. Boiled and then baked, these small rounds of crunchiness are totally addictive.
