Quiche with caramelized onions and sage Class
This savory pie is a dish prepared in no time, with a base of crispy pastry, sage and caramelized onions. I’ll teach how to make the pie crust from scratch, for which I use my reliable recipe with the addition of minced sage, for extra aroma.
The filling is a soft mixture of egg, cream, cheese and perfectly caramelized onions.
A great make-ahead recipe that can be used as a main dish for lunch or dinner, or cut in small squares to serve as a starter. Try it once, and you’ll want to make it again.
Key Ingredients
- unbleached all-purpose or ‘00’ flour (preferred)
- egg
- sage leaves
- onions
- white wine
- whipping cream
- parmigiano cheese
