Meatballs with Tomato Sauce Class

During this class we’ll cook together the classic ‘ricetta della nonna’: polpette al sugo, meatballs with tomato sauce. It’s a recipe loved by most, especially Italian children. I’ll show you my secrets to make flavorful and juicy homemade meatballs.

We’ll make a luscious tomato sauce together, with extras you can use for scarpetta or a side of pasta. (I can still hear my grandma screaming when we left crumbs, sopping up this sauce from the pot with our pieces of bread!)

Key Ingredients

  • canned tomato
  • ground beef
  • garlic, basil, parsley
  • milk
  • bread
  • Parmigiano cheese
  • egg

*You can substitute other ground meat, broth for milk, and gluten-free bread
