Mozzarella in carrozza – Crunchy mozzarella sandwiches class
Cook with me one of my family’s favorite treats, mozzarella in carrozza. The name refers to its “crunchy shell” which hides creamy, melted mozzarella inside.
Usually the mozzarella filling is flavored with anchovies or ham, but any other favorite ingredients in your pantry to add flavor can work for this little sandwich.
Fried in the traditional recipe, here I propose a lighter version where we bake the sandwiches instead. The result will be the same: melted mozzarella strands pulling from the sandwich. Pure pleasure and molto sfizioso.
