Ingredients
5big onions about 3 pounds
1garlic cloves
2-3stalks rosemary
40grbrown sugar
240mlbalsamic vinegar
120mlolive oil
salt&pepper
Instructions
Peel the onions and cut them in quarters. Heat the olive oil in a large sauce pan and sauté the garlic and the rosemary. Add the onions, sprinkle them with salt, pepper and the sugar. Stir until the sugar is melted. Add the vinegar and bring to boil. Reduce the heat, cover with a lid and cook until the onions are tender. Stir the onions occasionally. Serve them warm with a sprinkle of ground fresh pepper.
