This white sauce made with butter, milk and flour has French origin and it’s very easy to make. Back in the centuries, when the South of Italy was a kingdom and under the French Bourbon domination, this sauce was widely used by French chefs and became part of the Italian tradition. It’s used in many recipes such lasagna alla Bolognese, cannelloni, pasta etc, so it’s a good one to have in your repertoire.
